Troubleshooting Guide
1. Can’t login
- Upon sign-up an email will be sent to the provided email, this must be confirmed before the account is active
- Reset your password by using the Forgot Password button on the login screen
2. Not all app features are available
New users joining a company must be approved by a company or group admin before all the app features become available; admins can do this either by accepting the email sent or through their notifications in the app
3. I cannot connect the app to the ROAM instrument
- Verify smart device’s Bluetooth is turned on
- Reset the ROAM instrument by holding down the button on the device itself
- Verify that the app is up to date
- Close the app and then re-open
- Delete and then re-install the app
4. I’m not seeing all the parameters I want to test
- Ensure that parameters are turned on by going to Settings. Please note that turning off Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, and Chloramines, or alkalinity will turn off associated parameters as well
- Check that desired parameters are active in Settings > Parameters, deactivated parameters are not displayed but are still collected and will appear by reactivating the parameter
5. Light turns red when trying to start a test
- Using the app connect to the ROAM to check if the cartridge is expired or has used all tests
- Remove the cartridge from the ROAM device, clean the connector then plug it back in
- Reset the ROAM instrument by holding the button on the device itself
6. Calibration is not passing
- Verify the cartridge is fully plugged into the ROAM
- Remove the cartridge from the ROAM device, clean the connector then plug it back in
- Help proper mating by holding the cartridge in tight during the first 30 seconds of calibration
- Reset the ROAM instrument by holding the button on the device itself
7. Results seem inaccurate
- Verify the cartridge is fully plugged into the ROAM
- Remove the cartridge from the ROAM device, clean the connector then plug it back in
- Recalibrate the cartridge by connecting to it through the app
8. Chlorine is reporting lower than expected or there is more spread between Free and Total Chlorine than expected
- Bleach and rinse the vials
- Rinse and clean the cartridge pockets where the sample and waste vials sit
9. Nothing happens when the button is pressed
- Plug ROAM into USB charger, if the charging indicator turns on please allow time to charge before running a test, if fully drained it may take a few minutes for the charging indicator to turn on
- Unplug the cartridge and reset the ROAM by holding the button
